September 23, 2011: The Copenhagen Consensus Center has launched a major new research and dialogue project focused on HIV/AIDS in Africa, in association with the RUSH Foundation.

RethinkHIV has commissioned research papers from teams of top health economists, epidemiologists, and demographers, ranking many competing HIV/AIDS interventions based upon benefit-cost metrics to help policy-makers and donors prioritize investments with the highest pay-offs in a world of limited resources.

  
 

 

Copenhagen Consensus Guide to Giving

New Research on EU Energy Security 

May 18, 2011: New economic research commissioned by the Copenhagen Consensus Center shows that the EU’s climate plan will lead to greater reliance on foreign energy imports. The Copenhagen Consensus Center asked Professor Christoph Böhringer and Andreas Keller of the University of Oldenburg to examine the EU 20-20-20 Climate Plan’s impact on energy security.

  
 

Report on Danish Healthcare

February 26, 2011: The Copenhagen Consensus Center has released a new report analysing the strengths and weaknesses of the Danish health care system, and proposing 10 solutions that address challenges faced by the health care system. As part of DR's special feature on health care, these solutions were discussed and prioritised by politicians and members of the community. 

  

Research on Green Job Generation

February 7, 2011: The Copenhagen Consensus Center has released new research reviewing the state of the science in defining, measuring, and predicting green job generation. Energy economist Dr. Gürcan Gülen concludes that job creation “cannot be defended as another benefit” of well-meaning green policies. In fact, the number of jobs that these policies create is likely to be offset – or worse – by the number of jobs that they destroy.
